Klusa started as one rented room and a hunch that people don't actually want to be rushed.

It began with one physiotherapist who was tired of twelve-minute slots, and one spare room.
In 2019, Marta rented a single room near Alberta iela and started seeing clients by appointment only, one at a time. Within a year, two more therapists joined — not as contractors renting a chair, but as part of the same studio, trained the same way she was. Klusa is still four rooms and three therapists. We've had chances to add more and turned them down.
A few things we do differently, on purpose.
No overlapping bookings
Only one client is in the studio during the first and last ten minutes of your session, so the room is quiet before you arrive and after you leave.
Therapists, not contractors
Everyone on the team is trained and paid by Klusa directly — nobody is renting a chair or freelancing under our name.
Unscented by default
Oils and wax are fragrance-free unless you ask for aromatherapy. Plenty of people are sensitive to scent, so we'd rather ask first.
Real gaps in the schedule
We build in idle time between sessions on purpose, even though it means fewer bookings in a day.
Four rooms, quiet on purpose.
Phones are asked to stay in bags, not just on silent. There's no background playlist piped through the whole building — each room keeps its own quiet, and music is optional, chosen with you before a session starts.
